Sussex Based and Family Run Road Haulage Company
Bleach of Lavant is run by the owner and managing director, Mick Bleach. Mick is the third generation Bleach to run the company after his grandfather, Harry, started operating out of the village of Lavant with his first truck in 1921. Mick’s father, also Mick, continued to build up the business and today it has grown to one of the largest transporters of horticultural plants in the UK, with a large and growing palletised goods delivery business through membership of the Palletforce network. The family tradition continues with Mick’s two sons, Ben and George, both working at the company.
The company is based near Arundel in West Sussex, with around 100 employees and a varied fleet of more than 100 trucks and trailers to meet our customers’ requirements. We also have several operating centres strategically located around the country for consolidating loads to give efficient use of our trucks.
We have an in-house workshop that maintains our trucks and trailers to a high standard in order to comply with government guidelines and operate safely on the road. Our maintenance and driver systems are externally audited and recognised by the fleet operators recognition scheme (FORS) that promotes best practice in safe operation.
